Micro-Retreats are designed to give college students an opportunity to evaluate their personal walk with Jesus and grow in their disciple-making. Gathering with a smaller group provides space for deeper discussions and intentional spiritual growth.

Large retreats typically include 40-60 students and around 20 of our leaders. Our next retreat is October 3-5, 2025 and will be back at the beloved Camp Highlander. Think: late night worship, bonfires, genuine conversations, and of course, community building. It’s rustic, mountainous and always so special. Don’t miss it!

 FAQs

  • We currently do not have our own property. But that is something we are dreaming/praying/working for!

  • The next retreat is October 3-5! We are back at Camp Highlander for our 9th retreat! CH is located in a small town called Horse Shoe, NC on the side of Forge Mountain. We have special memories at Camp Highlander and can’t wait to be back!

  • If you are between the ages of 18-25 then you are more than welcome to join us! If you are 26+ then please consider joining our Refuge Alumni Project!

  • The retreat cost is $100. That includes your stay, food, and a shirt. We also offer several scholarships each retreat and fun giveaways!

  • We are so grateful to have an incredible team of leaders that are praying and preparing months before each retreat. That being said, we typically do not need extra leaders. We try to keep costs low for the students and not housing non-college students helps us do that. Your role as a College Ministry leader is to help us on the front end getting information to your students.
